Menopause “The Change in Life” is a natural part of aging. For some women, menopause can be uncomfortable or a time for health concerns. Our compassionate OB & GYNs have expertise in menopause management and can recommend treatment methods that can help ease symptoms and health screenings based on individual risk factors. Call (281) 332-9511 or request an appointment online at Bay Area OB/GYN in Webster, Texas.
Our Menopause Management services include:
The same decline in estrogen production that ends menstruation also causes hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, and other problems associated with menopause. Although long-term post-menopausal use of hormone replacement therapy is no longer recommended for all women, many women gain short-term relief of bothersome menopausal symptoms with hormone replacement therapy. Ask our gynecologists if hormone replacement options are a good choice for you.
Osteoporosis is a progressive bone disease that causes bone loss and increases the risk of bone fracture risk. Bone Mineral Density Testing (BMD) is used to help diagnose osteoporosis. Bone Mineral Density Testing is generally recommended for women under the age of 65 with risk factors other than menopause, postmenopausal women with fractures, and all women age 65 and older. Bone Mineral Density Testing is a quick painless in-office imaging procedure, similar to receiving an X-ray.

Advancements in early detection and methods and more tolerable breast cancer treatments have helped to reduce the number of breast cancer related deaths and improve quality of life. Although breast cancer treatments have come a long way over time, women still need to be vigilant and should contact their doctor if they notice changes in their breasts. We are proud to offer BRAC Analysis, a simple blood test for the 2 major genes that are associated with breast cancer. For patients who appear to be at risk for breast cancer, we provide compassionate follow-up counseling and support to help them make informed decisions about their breast health.

It is important to diagnose ovarian cancer early to improve the likelihood of successful treatment. Early detection may not always be possible because symptoms of ovarian cancer may be vague and similar to the symptoms of other less serious conditions or symptoms of ovarian cancer do not occur until the cancer is at an advanced stage. Our board-certified OB/GYNs offer ovarian cancer screening (CA-125 blood testing) that detects specific proteins in the blood that appear in some women with ovarian cancer. In addition, we conduct urine test and imaging scans to help with early detection. For women at risk for or with ovarian cancer, we provide gentle support, care, and education to facilitate the best recovery.
