Maria T. Rivero, MD

Maria T. Rivero, MD is a board-certified Obstetrics-Gynecology physician with more than 20 years of experience in the field.  Dr. Rivero earned her Medical Degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Medical School in Lubbock, Texas.  She completed her OB/GYN Residency and Internship at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Rivero is a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is distinguished as a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.   She is a Member of the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, Texas Medical Association, and Harris County Medical Society.

Dr. Rivero previously served as a Clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. Dr. Rivero also was Chief of Staff of the OB/GYN Dept at Christus St. John Hospital.

Dr. Rivero is committed to providing quality health care with special attention given to patients regarding communication and patient education. Her clinical interests include Obstetrics, HPV and abnormal pap smears, menopause management, adolescent gynecology and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Rivero is bilingual; therefore she is able to provide care to Spanish speaking patients.
